Rabbi Shmuel Veffer

Founder & Chief Rabbi

Reb Shmuel was a management consultant in Toronto before moving to Israel and becoming involved in Jewish education over 30 years ago. He was a senior lecturer at Aish HaTorah in Jerusalem, co-founder of Honest Reporting Canada and has lectured internationally on Jewish topics.

Shmuel is the inventor of the KosherLamp and founder of Kosher Innovations. He founded Galilee Green in 2014 and currently lives with his wife Sarah in Tiberias in the Galilee.

Yonah Veffer

General Manager & Customer Happiness

Yonah was born and raised in Jerusalem and then moved to Toronto with his family for his teenage years.He returned to Israel to begin advanced Talmudic Studies after highschool.

In addition to his organizational skills, Yonah brings logistics, management and computer technical experience to our team.

When he’s not helping to build Galilee Green, he spends quality time with his wife and children in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
