Yavne’el is the gateway to the north of Israel and we are often surprised by friends on their way up to the countless beautiful places to visit like Rosh Hanikra or Katzrin.
I’m always looking for a quick, easy and delicious lunch recipe to satisfy hungry guests who stop in to visit unexpectedly.
This one really does the trick. It’s so yummy that I make it for myself even when I’m not in a hurry!
Gourmet Tuna Salad
Ingredients:
- 2 x 6 ounce cans of tuna packed in water
- 1 tablespoon Galilee Green Olive Oil
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
- 2 green onions diced
- 1 stalk celery diced
- 1 large pickle diced
- 1/3 cup pineapple diced (I use canned unsweetened)
Directions:
Drain tuna and mix everything together in a bowl. Can be served in a sandwich, on a bed of lettuce, stuffed into red pepper halves or any other way you like.
Your guests (and YOU) will be surprised and delighted by the combination of flavors!
