Ten Year Old Billy Vandor from Australia recently visited us at our Galilee Green Olive Press in Israel with his family.

Billy VandorBilly loved everything about Israel, especially the blessings of the amazing fruits and vegetables of the Land.

Here he is after discovering a luscious avocado growing on a tree in the Golan Heights.

One of the highlights of his trip were the yummy Israeli breakfasts he enjoyed with his family each morning of their tour.

It’s no wonder that when he returned to Australia that he wanted to try and duplicate the “Israeli” breakfast experience on his own.

This is what Billy came up with! Kol HaKavod! Come back for another visit soon, mate!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Slices of Bread
  • 5 Black Olives
  • 1 Large Leaf of Cos (Romaine) Lettuce
  • 1 Slice Processed Cheese
  • 4 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • 1 Small Can of Tuna
  • Butter, Salt and Pepper
  • Galilee Green Olive Oil

DIRECTIONS:

  • Fry eggs in butter
  • add 5 black olives, a little shredded lettuce and 4 baby tomatoes sliced in half.
  • Cook until the egg yolks are the way you like them. I like them a little bit runny.
  • Toast the bread and butter it.
  • Place all the fried items on the toast.
  • Add sliced cucumber, tuna and chopped cheese.
  • Pour a little olive oil over the top.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
