I stumbled upon the Nahariya Botanical Gardens and Zoo. Since it was off season during the week we had the place to ourselves. The gardens and flowers were lovely and there were lots of animals to enjoy. A highlight was the aviary full of tropical birds including Ibis.
It’s only 60 minutes northwest of Tiberias on the Mediterranean. And it’s just south of Rosh HaNikra Grottoes at the Lebanese border, and north of Acco (Acre).
