The word “Pardes פרדס” in Hebrew means “Fruit Orchard” see Song of Songs 4:13 … that’s basically what the Garden of Eden was.

The Greek Septuagint translation used “paradeisos” or “Paradise” (which originally meant Orchard) for the Garden of Eden. It seems the Greeks borrowed the term from the Hebrew, but most dictionaries never mention the Hebrew/Torah source.

By the way… when the Torah teaches us that Israel is a Land flowing with milk and honey… it is referring to DATE honey, not bee’s honey!
