How to get SMS and/or Email notifications from USPS for your package

If you are in the Unitied States, it can take anyware from  10 days to a few weeks for your package to arrive.  Some of you would like to know when the package is about to arrive so it doesn’t stay in a hot mailbox or on a porch unattended.

USPS allows you to sign up for SMS and/or Email notifications according to your preference. Let me show you how easy it is.

Here are the instructions:

1. Open the email we send you with your tracking code:

As soon as we prepare your shipping label, and before the package is picked up by Israel Post, we send you an email.

If you do not see an email in your inbox, try your spam or junk folder, or promotions folder.
To insure you receive future emails into your inbox, add galileegreen@gmail.com to your contacts list.

 

 

2. Click on the Link in your email and it will take you to a Google Page like this and click on the “Track Package” button:

3. This screen will appear letting you know the current status of your package, click on the “View details on USPS” button at the bottom

4. This screen will appear from the USPS website. Click on the “Down Arrow” at the right of the “Text & Email Updates” section

5. The following section will appear.

• Check the boxes for the kinds of notifications you would like to receive from USPS. You can receive SMS and/or Email notifications.
• If you ticked and SMS boxes, fill in your cell phone number in the appropriate section.
• If you ticked any email boxes, bill in your name and email address in the section toward the bottom.
• Remember to tick the “I have read and understand…” box, and then
• Click the blue “Get Updates” button at the bottom of the page. And you are done!
