People from all over the world come to visit Israel. I often hear how they immediately feel connected to this land and its holiness. Their hearts have been opened by the beauty, deep history and religion that they didn’t believe would affect them They tell me that this is a once in a lifetime experience.
Here is a quick and surprisingly tasty authentic Chinese dish made by a group of Chinese women who we had the pleasure of hosting. They were having their first experience cooking in a kosher kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 4 tomatoes
- 4 eggs
- 8 cups of water
- 2 tablespoons of Galilee Green Olive Oil
- 4 cups of cooked spaghetti
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
- 2 chopped scallions
Directions:
- Place ½ – 1 cup of cooked spaghetti into 4 soup bowls
- Cut up tomatoes in chucks and saute them in olive oil for a few minutes in the soup pot
- Add water and boil for 10 minutes
- Beat eggs well and pour into boiling water and tomatoes
- Stir until eggs are mixed into the water
- Watch the eggs puff up and adjust seasonings
- Pour the soup over the spaghetti
- Garnish with chopped scallions
