How Pee Wee Herman’s dad changed the history of Israel

Milton Rubenfeld (Pee Wee’s dad) was a top fighter pilot during WWII in the US Air Force.

After the war, he watched from the comfort of America as many of the Jewish refugees from the Holocaust had emigrated to “Palestine” to help rebuild the Jewish State of Israel.

The Jewish leaders in “Palestine” understood how they were going to be attacked by 5 neighboring Arab armies when the State of Israel would be declared. Secretly the leadership reached out to top Jewish WWII pilots to help them form an “Israeli Air Force.”

Rubenfeld was one of a handful of Jewish pilots who answered the call and secretly helped smuggle small fighter planes into “Palestine” and help defeat the superior Arab forces when war eventually broke out in May of 1948.

Nancy Spielberg produced a documentary about these incredible heroes and how they put their lives at risk to help change the course of Jewish and World History!
