I often visit Jerusalem to visit my children and families who live in the center of the country.
We have a wonderful highway system in Israel including the new Highway 6, which makes the drive about two hours from Yavne’el to Jerusalem.
However, I often prefer to spend an extra half hour to take the more leisurely and scenic route via the Jordan Valley on Highway 90.
This week the date palms were stunning and are heavily laden with fruit as we approach the summer season.
As I drove home to Yavne’el and the sun was setting, I was reminded about the time we drove up the road years ago, when I made the decision to move to the Galilee.
