Well the kids are back to school and it’s a big sigh of relief for many moms after a busy summer.

But wait! What’s this? Here’s a class of kids at the fabulous Milford Cooperative Preschool in Milford Michigan learning how to make their own homemade humus!

It’s never to early to start teaching our children about healthy eating and wholesome nutritious foods.

If your school is not teaching your children how to eat healthy foods, and how to prepare their own meals, invite your children into your own kitchen and teach them yourselves! It’s a life skill and lesson that will change their lives!

“I’m a Galilee Green customer! When my lesson plan called for making hummus…I grabbed the best olive oil I had. At the Preschool, we encourage healthy foods for snack and lunch time (packed by Moms). And, because of so many allergies, it makes it challenging to find recipes to make in the classroom. This lesson we created hummus and did a taste test (to cover the math concept of tallying) with apples, carrots and pretzels. The kids (and teachers) loved making and eating the Small Group activity that day!”

Many of our Galilee Green great healthy and delicious recipes are easy enough for children to make, or at least they can help out with the preparation. 🙂
