Can’t eat regular Challah or Bread? Try this delicious alternative!

Shabbat is a wonderful time to enjoy a leisurely meal with the entire family and share lively discussion and words of Torah and songs along with our favorite dishes.

But for some of us on special or restricted diets, we can’t partake in some of our favorite foods. We’ve already shown you how you can make “Chick Pea Free” Hummus .

For those of you who can’t eat regular Challah Bread, here’s a fabulous Multi-“Grain Free” Bread that’s a yummy alternative.

Ingredients:

Looking for Kosher Almond Flour?

  • 4 whole eggs + 10 whites (reserve the yolks for an omelet)
  • 10 tablespoons Galilee Green Olive Oil
  • 8 tablespoons almond flour
  • 8 tablespoons coconut flour
  • 1 1/2 cups seed “flour” (combine  chia, sesame, and flax seeds and grind in a coffee bean grinder to make the “flour”)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 160C (320F)
  • Line a loaf pan with parchment paper
  • Mix all the dry ingredients together
  • In a separate bowl mix the eggs and oil
  • Add the wet to the dry ingredients. Mix well. It will thicken quickly.
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan
  • Bake for 65 minutes, or till toothpick comes out clean.

You can enjoy this amazing “bread” any day of the week, not just Shabbat!
