Rabbi Shmuel Veffer – Founder

Reb Shmuel, with an honors degree in Math and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, was a  management consultant before becoming involved in the Jewish non-profit world over 30 years ago. He was a senior lecturer at Aish HaTorah in Jerusalem, co-founder of Honest Reporting Canada and has lectured internationally on Jewish topics.

Shmuel is the inventor of the KosherLamp and founder of Kosher Innovations. He returned to Israel in 2009 and founded Galilee Green in 2014. He currently lives with his wife Sarah in Tiberias in the Galilee.

Yonah Veffer – General Manager

Yonah was born and raised in Jerusalem and then moved to Toronto with his family for his teenage years.He returned to Israel to begin advanced Talmudic Studies after highschool.

In addition to his organizational skills, Yonah brings logistics, management and computer technical experience to our team.

When he’s not helping to build Galilee Green, he spends quality time with his wife and children in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
