If you have never made Challah bread, try this great recipe.

Many of you are new to our Israeli and Jewish recipes. And we are here to help you learn how to prepare and enjoy them.

When she first signed up in 2015, Galilee Green Subscriber Judy Richman from Huntley Nebraska asked us for a recipe for Challah Bread. There are many different recipes for Challah. We have at least three of them on our site.

And their are many ways to prepare it… braided, plain, rolls.

We sent Judy this simple recipe below and the photo above is how her first Challahs (Chalot in Hebrew) turned out! Great work Judy!

  • Cut into 3 equal parts
  • Shape your challah

  • Egg was challah
  • Bake at 350 F or 180 C for 25-30 until done
  • Cool on rack
